Koramangala Education Centre Raided for Fake Marks Card Racket

In a significant operation, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru has dismantled a fraudulent network involved in issuing fake academic certificates. The racket was based out of the Digital Distance Education Mission located in Koramangala 5th Block. Acting on credible information, police raided the centre on Friday, confirming its involvement in the illegal issuance of marks cards and certificates. Raja Reddy, the proprietor, allegedly contacted students through their mobile numbers, offering them direct degree certificates from reputed institutions without the need to complete standard educational requirements such as SSLC or PUC. The fraudulent documents were reportedly created with the help of Aryan alias Tanumoy Debroy and dispatched via a courier service to maintain an appearance of legitimacy. During the academic year 2025-26, over 50 fake certificates were allegedly distributed. The scam has raised concerns about the integrity of educational credentials and institutions. A case has been filed under various sections related to organized crime, conspiracy, cheating, and forgery. Authorities have secured a couple of suspects and are working to apprehend others involved.
