The Senior National Wrestling Championships 2024 is set to commence today at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru. Haryana is expected to be a dominant force in the Championships, with 28 wrestlers competing across various categories. The host state, Karnataka, has also entered a strong contingent of 32 wrestlers, showcasing the depth of talent in the region.

Among the key grapplers to watch is Y Minakshi Devi from Manipur, who clinched the U-23 Asian Championship Gold in Jordan earlier this year. Another standout is Haryana’s Jyoti, who earned a medal at the Cadet Asian Championship, highlighting the caliber of athletes participating in the event.

In the men's categories, notable competitors include Arjuna Awardee and Asian Games bronze medalist Sunil Dabarpurya from Haryana. He will be joined by Sunny, a gold medalist at the 2023 World Police Games held in Canada.
