13-Year-Old Boy Electrocuted While Cleaning Fish Tank in Coimbatore

In a tragic incident in Coimbatore, a 13-year-old boy named Vishva died after being electrocuted while cleaning a fish tank at his residence near Perur. The incident occurred on a Tuesday morning when Vishva, who had recently completed Class 8 at a government school, decided to clean his aquarium. He was preparing to join Class 9 at a higher secondary school in Sundakkamuthur. Vishva, passionate about fishkeeping, noticed that his fish tank had become dirty and decided to clean it and feed the fish. Unfortunately, he forgot to switch off the power supply before starting the cleaning process. While attempting to remove the electric motor from the fish tank, he accidentally touched a live electrical connection, resulting in a severe electric shock. The impact of the shock threw him to the ground, and he collapsed. Despite the quick response from his parents and neighbors, who rushed to the scene upon hearing his cries, Vishva succumbed to the electrocution before they could reach him. The local police have registered a case and are conducting further inquiries to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
