Chennai Metro Phase-2 Reaches 52.55% Completion

Chennai Metro Rail Limited announced that the Phase-2 Metro Rail project has achieved 52.55% completion. The project, costing ₹63,246 crore, spans 116.1 km across three corridors and includes 118 stations. Construction began in November 2020, with tunnelling completed in areas like Mylapore. Elevated sections are expected to finish by 2027, and underground by 2028. The first service is anticipated soon on the Poonamallee–Porur–Vadapalani stretch.

Mylapore Bus Shelter Leaves Commuters Exposed to Sun
