Kartik Fine Arts is set to host the 35th Kodai Nataka Vizha awards function on June 1, 2026, at 5:30 pm at the TAG Mylapore Fine Arts Club Auditorium in Mylapore, Chennai. The event will honor various artists and troupes for their contributions to the annual Kodai Nataka Vizha. Among the awardees, P. Muthukaram will be recognized for his excellence as an artist, while the Dummies Drama troupe will be acknowledged for their outstanding performance as a theatre group. The awards function will feature numerous accolades for artists, associates, and troupes who have participated in the sabha's annual festival. Following the awards ceremony, Y Gee Mahendra and his troupe will perform their new play, 'Varadu Kutty – Paritchaikku Neramachu 2', which draws inspiration from the film classic 'Paritchaikku Neramachu'. The play promises to be a highlight of the evening, offering audiences a blend of nostalgia and fresh theatrical experience.

Chennai Metro Phase-2 Reaches 52.55% Completion

Chennai Metro Rail Limited announced that the Phase-2 Metro Rail project has achieved 52.55% completion.
