Tamilisai Soundarajan, BJP candidate for Mylapore, expressed confidence in NDA's victory. Her husband also supported her chances. Polling in Tamil Nadu began with tight security, concluding at 6:00 pm. The main contest is between DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance and AIADMK-led NDA. Actor Vijay is debuting with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

Chennai Metro Phase-2 Reaches 52.55% Completion

Chennai Metro Rail Limited announced that the Phase-2 Metro Rail project has achieved 52.55% completion.
